Re: AHFS at Indy?

I just spent a ton of $$$ to refresh our motor, some upgraded parts, in the hopes of making a good showing in class. Not sure I want to spend the $$$ now to make the 2500+ mile tow to have to run with timing out. This sucks.

Re: AHFS at Indy?

That was not a surprise to me, they were waiting a good while to post it before giving the bad news for some reason. Why the inconsistencies from year to year though. People make race schedules up at the beginning of a season, not near the middle and end of the season unless deep in the heat of a points battle.

Watching the entry list change from hour to hour, day to day now will be fun. That is a long expensive tow Julie to have to pull back on the reins every pass while there including the 1's for the little man.

That sucks for those who spent so much, in the hopes to run it out hard on the big end, to get so little at this late date. My condolences to the many from the few.

Just another reason why the IHRA is looking better and better for the sportsman racers! I see that Ned Waliser wasn't even at the latest NHRA national Event! Sounds like truck & tractor pulls are more important for him to be at, rather than the $300K job he is paid to do for the NHRA as Vice President of Competition! Loved the comment by Langdon, how he was still waiting to get official word if he actually won the race, since Waliser wasn't even at the event!

Re: AHFS at Indy?

This would be the perfect race for NO ONE in Stock & Super Stock to show up. Heck all the sportsman categories for that matter! That would send a message. Although, I'm sure NONE of the administrators at NHRA even care about this subject, except of course, how it would infuriate them to have down time between all the "Pro Classes".

But why do all of that when you can just constantly cry to tech about the fast ones??

Total dick move NHRA >>> wait until you?ve banked $100,000 in entries before you make this pre determined announcement

And I understand that if this bloated bs system ever has a chance to work it must be on for this race >>> but to collect $100g before announcing it >>> total dick move

Just to add more fun to class. Drive the car to the 1000' mark click it off and coast to the finish line.

Obviously this is a joke and NHRA would NOT get the point of it.

Run class to the 1320 and DON'T use the AHFS.

OR just DON'T show up.

Is anyone tired of seeing the caprice taxi cab go 2second under the last 4 years
In super stock
To be 1# qualifier
Raise your hand.

It is still that fast because he?s smart, not a dumbass who will just run it out for no reason!
