You are not wrong there! I traveled that mess through Indiana for years and years, even today it still is one of the worst stretches of interstates in the country, and if you've got the minutes to spare, take US 40 across the state as much as you can. Your suspension will thank you.

Yes isn't the Indiana State slogan something like "Finding what you have lost". Yes right there on their Interstates. LOL. The sides of 70 from Indy to the Ohio border is littered with blown tires , compete rims with tires, trailer doors etc. I have to retighten all my interior screws and everything else that is bolted down on my trailer after trips thru that state. You will just be driving down a lane and all of a sudden there is a 6 inch drop off all the way across the road. And every State will tell you the reason the gas tax is so high is to maintain the roads. Bull ----.

Hey guys, we did find a few cars out today. Tomorrow I will have more video through the pits along with more photos. Temps for tomorrow will be in the upper 90's, but it is Indy!

It's unfortunate that Stock and Super Stock run class the same day AGAIN!
I hope the Sportsman Divisional reps attempted to fix this.

However The HEMI Challenge is a stellar field.

Also if you're an alternate be ready at the top of the lanes.
Those who fail to study history are doomed to repeat it!

One last thing, GO DUMBO GO!

Thank you, gents for sending that! I see it just came out late today.
One would think at the biggest race of the year, where action starts Wednesday morning, they would post a run schedule a tad earlier.

Not to pile on, and as you all know, I am not an NHRA basher, and regularly stick up for them on this forum, but I have to say closing the Indy gates at 18:00 on a Monday and Tuesday on an event of this caliber when racing starts Wednesday morning first thing is pretty disappointing. You have people coming from all over the country, and a lot of us, still have a real day job. You can't keep one or two minimum-wage gate attendants there until, say 9 pm, at least on Tuesday night for crying out loud!

Rant over

If I recall correctly, it was around the COVID drama time. And at that time that was the reason given for the compressed schedule as I recall.
Well, its been that way every year since.
It used to be so nice to be able to take in all of the Stock class action, and have a few beers in the stands while doing so for the whole day, say if you were an SS racer, and then vice versa the following day for a stocker racer etc.

For crying out loud it's the biggest drag race of the year, it starts on a Wednesday ( and you need to get there prior to 18:00 on Tuesday, see prior rant...) and ends on a Monday, and it's now the only National Event where class is contested (other than Jegs sportsnats) and you can't friggin carve out 2 days for class racing?

Again, like I said in my earlier post, I almost always stick up for NRA, but these few things here are really hard to swallow.
