Several of Steve's friends and fellow racers are being updated by his wife. On Friday the 4th she reported that the oxygen had been lowered and he had tolerated that. Since then, we've had a couple of reports but no changes in his condition.

We received an update today. Doc says his lungs are covid rigid so getting enough oxygen in them is difficult. He is also on dialysis to help remove fluid from the lungs. I wish it were good news.

I am very saddened to report that our friend Steve passed quietly last night with his family by his side. His wife relayed to us that "He was so beautifully peaceful". This is a great loss to us all.

Horrible news. Steve was a true pleasure to be around and his racing program was pure class. RIP Steve, we will miss you greatly.
