Re: SOCAL. Gas Prices

Here in Orange County, CA Diesel is $3.65 Regular 87 unleaded is about $3.15

Somebody want to explain to me why diesel fuel which supposedly takes less processing
costs so much more?? :(

I guess I'm lucky I only have a 7 mile one way commute to work, so I can keep driving my
Diesel F350 truck.

Re: Mid Ga. Gas Prices

the reason diesel prices have gone up is due to 2 reasons.the first being that diesel now has to be refined more to burn cleaner than before. 2years ago my semi got 8mpg than they took 1/2 the sulfer out and it dropped to 7mpg now this year my new truck is required to have the semi version of a cadilatic convertor and they took the rest of the sulfer out now i get 5.5mpg the experts say that my truck burns 25%cleaner but yet i burn 30%more fuel as do all the other semis thus demand is higher by 30%
thank you california clean air act and the epa. the reason oil is up isnot because of washington!! its because china and india have discovered the automobile and are using 3 times what they did 2 years ago
and are driving the world prices up this is why we should be drilling in alaska and off our coasts.
if we would use more bio fuels just 2%would decrease are dependance on the world market by 60%.
plus bio fuels are renewable and burn cleaner i,ll get off my soapbox now

They say it's Worlds largest Bio plant going up near us in Chesapeake Va.. The odd thing is they're not using corn or soy bean, they are using some kind of inedable bean that grows like a weed. Should be interesting to see if it has an effect on our local diesel and fuel oil prices.

Before the war crude was $27 a barrell, now it's $100 a barrell. Go start another war with your buds.

i will not be able to come to florida next week due the cost of fuel. i always enjoyed the november - december races down there but i cannot justify $950 in tow fuel just to race and get a stinking grade point.

as far a s race fuel AMAZINGLY c-12 has held price over 3 years with all the bull**** going on at the local stations... been $7.50 - 8.00 for a while... hope i dont jinx it by mentioning it.

there is a limited supply of oil and those who have it realize they got the world by the gonads... the america's (north & south) could do the same with the food supply but we could never get along like the OPEC countries do.

stuck in kentucky... captain jack

p.s. nashville is having three big bucks bracket races next weekend friday - sunday... and NO ELECTRONICS like stock is supposed to be :)
