Re: timing light
I have an old Sears/Penske 244-2138 and it works fine with my MSD 6AL ignition boxes.

Re: timing light
Glad I looked at this thread. I will put a power point in engine bay to check timing. It will be switched and fused. Thanks

Re: timing light
I may have used the wrong words but to me it's a place to pick up (+) side of battery.

Re: timing light
The flaming river is a good light and plenty bright enough. I bought a second one and don't use the Snap On anymore due to no convenient power point in the engine compartment

Re: timing light
For a power point I bring a little 12 volt Battery with me . I have a 16 volt battery in the car don't think i can use that for the timing light anyway .

Re: timing light
The old Craftsman 2134 works for me with an MSD. I just connect the (+) lead of the timing light to the low voltage (+) side of the coil.

Re: timing light
My old Sears light has been getting dimmer and dimmer . Checked the DOB on my drivers license and made an appointment with my eye doctor . He fixed me right up.
