Re: 1969 Zl-1 Camaro
Tom,one thing I forgot to mention,is you would be better off getting on the CRG website and asking your questions. Some off the foremost COPO Camaro experts in the world are on it.They can answer any of your questions. One of the members,William, knows more about ZL-1's than just about anyone. He was gathering info on them very early on.

Re: 1969 Zl-1 Camaro
There were only 69 ZL 1 69's produced.
The COPO cars produced in 69 were 427- 425 HP versions and all came with iron heads. There was approximately 12-1400 of these cars produced. Hope this helps.. |
Re: 1969 Zl-1 Camaro
When I had my clone, Edward Cuneen in Lombard, IL was the go- to-guy for all things ZL-1's, lots of material & documentation
Interesting and somewhat sad story is that my partner worked at Mac's Chev-Olds in Crete, NE, and ordered in a ZL-1, pulled motor right away and painted it black, raced as legal at old flight land track near Blair,Ne, somewhere along the line Camaro was sold with different engine, and engine was grenaded, and now resides at Speedway Motors in Lincoln, Ne, museum.. |
