I'm sure some of that fee pays for NHRA Division Tech personel and the personel to run the event.

I would more likely attend a D7 National Open, if their entry fees were more like D5's! Sorry, but I can't justify paying divisional event entry fees, for a non-points earning national open race. I sure hope Tucson Dragway gets a divisional event next year, because that track has been good to me.

Go figure, in D5 their opens charged $80-$100 bucks...D7? $165.00!!!! :o. My racing budget may be good, but if I'm going to spend divisional event entry fee money, I expect to get more than just a grade point for my traveling dollars!

My not so humble opinion....:)
