What a shock. Rich was a tireless worker in his insurance business and from Ricks report very dedicated to his radio projects too. Condolences to the family.

Re: Rich Feldman-"Mr. Security"- R.I.P.
Running my Impala stick shift stocker back in 2003-2005 I would talk to him when he was at Maple Grove. Really a great person.
At that time he ran a underdriven 4th gear with a 6:17 gear! Wow I always thought a heads up race with my BBC Impala would have been cool, but he was really a couple of tenths quicker. I think he held the SS/O record many times. Another sad lost, must be a really cool drag race going on in heavan though. Will Lamprecht |
Re: Rich Feldman-"Mr. Security"- R.I.P.
Another friend and racer gone . Rich was a very good friend of our family . Such good times and conversations we have had .We always called him, "Mr.Feldman.." I will never forget the year he busted our butt first round of the US Nationals . Rich laid down a killer pass, one we would all be proud of, and sent us packing .. But after he beat us , he came over to our pit spot, and said , "Jeff.. I am so sorry to beat you, I am truly sorry . I have tower passes that you can have , is there anything I can do ? I feel so bad" ... This went on for a while ... It is the only time in our racing career that anyone has sincerely apologized for doing what he came to do .... win. He was just truly a really nice, gentle man . No other words can describe him.....
As we drove out of the pits that day, my brother could not just resist....He looked over at me , and said, "Little brother, when you get back to work next week... you can tell all your co -workers, that you drove 9 hours to race over the holiday weekend, and was beaten in the first round of the biggest race of the year, by a little old man driving a full sized,1966, Chevy Impala, with a 283, and a stick shift .... Rest in Peace old friend ... You will be missed .... John, Amy and Jeff ... |

Re: Rich Feldman-"Mr. Security"- R.I.P.
Sad news indeed, Rich was a great guy, true gentleman. We've had a lot of conversions. Of course most of which pertained to manual transmission discussions. He will be sadly missed.

Re: Rich Feldman-"Mr. Security"- R.I.P.
I have seen Rich race a few times, never got to meet him. But would hear stories about how much a stand up guy he was, not realizing he had a much bigger heart and made this much an impact on so many lives. What a shame to lose someone like him, that young. But thank the Lord the world was graced by his presence. RIP Mr. Security.
