Re: Roller Cams in Stock Eliminator?
From the comments, glad running Pure Stock...!
Lot of racers having a tough time with 8000rpm flat tappet hydraulic lifters. What about a limit on Valve Spring Pressure. Saying that! What would make common sense? or Should racers be doing that anyway? Dan |
Re: Roller Cams in Stock Eliminator?
OK, roller rockers, any spring, almost any cam, any valve job, any anything, but lets keep them old lifters and let everyone buy 1200 bucks tool steel lifters instead of a hydraulic roller conversion for about a quarter. I already got mine. I want everyone to share in the treasure.

Re: Roller Cams in Stock Eliminator?
There hasn't been too much "stock" about Stock Eliminator for quite a while now. Jus sayin'...

Re: Roller Cams in Stock Eliminator?
Limiting valve spring pressure makes way too much sense and is way too simple. Let's gouge on everybody some more.

Re: Roller Cams in Stock Eliminator?
Dwight's right. I made my LT-1 stocker in to a super stocker two years ago, sure the initial investment was a bit, but only about two or three thousand dollars more than my last stocker engine. I just freshened it and it was cheaper than freshening the stocker engine.
