Thanks everybody. I moved to Port Charlotte and am hoping to have car back together in a month or so. Still replacing all of the stuff that was stolen in Texas so it is taking a while.

John Duzac, Thanks for the great idea with the Damprid bags. I know that you know humid as I spent some time in Fort Polk in 1971 in the summer. If it works there, it works anywhere.-----John



Rich, As far as the MSD distributors, I have had the same problem and went as far as coating the rusty parts with nail polish. I was at a friends house looking at some rifles that he owns and asked about an AR15 that was coated in a camo design and he filled me in on Cerakote and Duracote. Looked on the computer at both and found out Duracote offers an aerosole package for coating your weapon. Both are a ceramic coatings with great rust and wear protection. There is a video on the application on a pistol slide. Take a look and see what you think. About $35.00 and your labor to clean and prep the distributor for the spray.Thinking about doing it myself. If anybody has a thought on it, feel free to chime in.
