Yep, you can do blocks, heads and brake rotors. Brake rotors will last longer too.

Does anybody know if this process changes the physical size of the peaces? I was wondering if this could be done to a part after it was finished being machined?

It does not change the physical size; nevertheless, as regards to engine blocks and cylinder heads, and rotating components is to treat the components and then do the final machining.

As an example, my differential guy set up my ring & pinion before I sent them in to Evans Performance for cryo & REM. He preferred that way because the REM finish makes it more difficult to set a pattern on the gears. When I got them back, he simply reassembled them with the preset shims.

We used to cryo all of our stock FWD stuff transmission wise. It seemed to increase the life of the gears, case, etc.

Gotta try something when there is NO aftermarket support!!

Houston Engine and Balancing in Pasadena, Texas does it in house.

Ed, I think it was last year someone posted a picture of Jim Bailey freeze drying Larry Morgans block. The way it was explained to me at that temp -275 f or there abouts the molecules at that point stop moving within the component and it also align's said molecules which makes it in fact stronger and more durable. At this point I'm fairly certain Ed Bigley will sign on to debunk my observation, and hopefully the administrator's of the site will soon ban him for life just like he has been from bracket talk forum for his mind numbing rants that we must endure.

RJ,
How long does it take your Bud Lite to go back to liquid after that 300 below cryo treatment? It sure seems like you are doing the cryo treatment to "Everything" you have in your racing program. ;~)
OH! I forgot: That West Texas sun is "Hot, Hot, Hot"

Adger,
It is the reason why RJ wears Mechanix gloves so his skin will not adhere to the bottle or can.
Now you have given Teuton a reason to buy Cryogenic equipment to keep his beverages cold!
