I'm seeing the new cam rule in the 2014 rule book but it still reads the same as before for the springs.

Maybe it just hasn't made it into print yet but I'm going to wait until I see it in black and white.

Better get that in writing or amend it in the rule book cause look at page 49 2014 rule book,


VALVE SPRINGS:
Stock replacement per OEM spec. and must check on factory spec.
open and closed pressure

Whole new can of worms. Should be original cam from manufacturer,same for springs. My opinion. If you can't go fast with what you have, you need to work harder.

Perhaps. We were in Dallas for their Thanksgiving race and the air was well below sea level. Went 11.58 with a 1.50 60' 150 lbs. heavy for B/PS. I'm not sure if there would be 4 tenths in an unlimited duration cam with any spring but we haven't been in the heads yet either.

I like the rule; just wish I would have known it two months ago before I changed the cam and springs.

No, we were legal. It still has the oxygen sensors so we have to run unleaded.
