Robert, My informant tells me that Jim had enough of the situations you mentioned in your post and just walked away. He was not relieved or fired by any means. Just got tired of being over ruled by Glendora for "special" people. Jim

He always dealt with us comp guys fairly-he was tough, yes, but fair. Losing both Dale House and Jim Collins in one year is tough. And he was responsible for the mineshaft rule in comp-without that rule, there were races we would not have gone to.
