I am guessing that there is no DRC there? No reports of anything even going down track. Wanted to drive out late today and visit tomorrow, but the forecast looks pretty weak. Those that are there, keep us informed as to weather conditions and your thoughts if a race can even happen tomorrow.

We had spotty rain several times but I think all the qualifying rounds got in. It will be cool but the race should get in. There is still no DRC but that is not the first time. I am guessing it will happen later.

Sunday morning - 53 degrees and a light drizzle. Radar map forecast shows the showers circling the area for much of the day. Track driers are out there.

Stock and S/S got a 4th run last evening around 8:00.

Some racers have already pulled out.

The forecast for today from a couple of sources indicate the current showers will pull out only to have more, 40%-50% all day long starting sometime after 11am. Weather and back to back weekends look like it took a toll on the fields.

Rain stopped and Stock got its first round in. Sprinkles returned just as S/ST was about done. Looks like this cat and mouse game with the sprinkles just might work

Weather is close to last 2 runs yesterday and headwind is not as bad.

Just when it appeared the weather was going to hold out a light sprinkle turned into a rain shower. S/G just finished and S/S was paired and ready to go.

The good news is that there's blue skies and some sun drifting in from the west. It will take a while to get the track back.

Re: Stanton, Mich. Div. 3 Event

For the last 3 hours three has been a steady cycle of showers followed by clear skys. Throughout this the track staff has been working on drying the track. And just when it looks likes it has dried up enough to get back to racing another shower wipes out whatever progress has been made. Looks like most of the race cars are tied down in the trailers and ready to roll. Right now the sun is shining, but to the west another dark rain cell is approaching.

They were able to finish the first round of everything, but it started raining again right before the second round of stock. They announced they're running tomorrow starting at 10 am. There were a whole lot of people leaving, I'd guess there will be around 15 each left in stock and SS of the 25, I know I won't be there. The weather tomorrow doesn't look that great either

So sorry for everyone involved...it's been a tough year for D3 racers and races!!

Re: Stanton, Mich. Div. 3 Event

There were 6 or more first run byes in round 1 of S/S due to guys just pulling out due to the rain. Round 2 of Stock pairings looked like 4 byes due to no shows. There will be even more this morning. I'll be one of those no-shows as I'm leaving on a family vacation this morning. Wandering thru the pits later in the day yesterday, I observed what appeared to be racers in heated phone conversations with their wives explaining why they won't be home tonite.
