Dan,
You can add my car to your list if you like, will get picture on soon.
79 malibu,it runs D,E,F pure stock had F/PS record @7.997 since 7/10
Set E/PS @ Mt. Park pro am last year @ 8.036@ 83.833 mph,was 108 degrees.

I can actually attend Florida Races by coming down on Amtrak.
Own a home in Altamonte Springs.
Orlando is about 40minutes, Moroso, Bradenton and Gainesville about 2.5hours.

May do that and add in some vacation.

As for $$$ . Thinking of starting an IHRA Pure Stock Challenge.
Where my company would Pay Out $1000 for any Pure Stocker that Wins a IHRA ProAm.

Getting ideas how to implement it from Ken the Web Master.
Also want to get IHRA approval first.

Brandon:
WOW that was very cool setting a record.
Hope to do that soon and the same way too.
Driving it off the street.

Does Ray have a Mustang too?

D

Sounds like a deal

I haven't had my Pure Stocker out yet this year.
Been spending all my time working on the T-Bird Stocker.

Too bad I couldn't take the Pure Stocker to the class nationals next year along with my Stocker Turbo T-Bird and run it in Super Stock.

It's one or the other.

Jerry Coblentz, East Palestine OH C/PS '71 340 Demon. He bought the car brand new and is the only owener of it (other than for two years, he sold it to another racer and bought it back). Won a ton of races, two NHRA Bracket Finals, several track Shampionships at QCMP and more.

Steve Klacik, Aliquippa PA, 302 '89 Mustang. Steve won the 2012 Tri-State S/SS Association with it (won two races). Also won an IHRA Pro-Am in Pittsburgh in 2011 or so and finished fifth in the world (TOC). Drives it to/from the track, drove it 200+ miles to Hagerstown last year (and every year) and won my $2,000 to win S/SS race in 2012.

Dave Campolito, Salem OH, D/PS '94 LT-1 Camaro. Owned by fellow Stock racer Brent Darroch. I believe it was Rick Golliday's car at one time?

WOW Nice response...

Made it to the IHRA Pittsburgh NitroJam and ProAM.
Only won 1 round but close on the other two.

Managed to barely run 3 tenths under on a hot muggy day with battery problems.
Cooling the engine down drained the battery causing the alternator to run.
Which is about 2 tenths.

However was the only Pure Stocker to make it.

Met the famous IHRA Tech Official Jim Woods who invited me to come to Florida.
Mike Beard also offered some encouragement.

There is so much history not being told about our Sportsman series.

Why does it take 50 years to show the historical documentaries.
There is a lot to recapture.
Wish their was a camera person that could video and digest the races creating a IHRA Video gallery.
This would be a great opportunity for a Broadcasting School or High School and their Students to do.

NOW I suffer from Sunburn and a Tweaked Back.

For all the soccer refereeing and exercising I do.
I was wiping down the 95SS to put it away.
For no logical reason, pinched a nerve in my back.
Just about hit the ground in pain.
My best Friend today is I-Bu-Prophen !

Hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend.

No Problem Gary !
Everyone was surprised others did not show up.
Think the threat of weather was not helpful.

BUT IHRA was spot on running everyone Saturday.

They should do that more often. Then have Division Race on Sunday.

IMHO where they need 8 races for points.
The Divisions that are spread out in the West may want to consider a 4 Race Weekend.

Run a NitroJam and 3 ProAms the same weekend.

It would be very cost effective and bring in the Fans !!

Dan
