I think that would be good as long as they go back to putting real cars that are in all showrooms back in the class guide the way it was done for 50 years. They are building some cool cars let racers buy one and make it a race car just like they did for years.

The drag pak's can be bought buy anyone from their local dealer. We have a couple in whatever flavor you are looking for. lol Now will they be just as fast as the ones we have now? No but what would racing be if you didn't have to improve you combination.

Dennis, I thought you already had a DP?

That 6.2 thing has been there forever. I think it's real. The problem with the racing program with both Ford and Mopar, but especially Mopar is as the company does better, it squeezes the life out of Mopar Performance and other things. They also put more pressure on the dealers for various things. Same old stuff. After 46 years, I have seen it all. But now when these performance divisions could really make an impact on an improving economy, some nitwit starts playing the 'corportate profit' thing. And Ed, you need hp. Just a little note there.

Ed,

I do have a DP but the supercharged motor in SS/JA would be awesome at 305 HP lol. I don't expect we will see a supercharged DP motor but if it happens I don't think it will be under rated enough to cause you any grief Ed. I'll have to keep working on my 5.7 for now...

Dennis, after seeing Candies' Hemi Stocker run 135 MPH in SS/JA at Baytown, I don't think you would have any problem handing me my tail. :-)

Maybe you could help Ronnie Terrell get some hp so I could run with him. He has the fastest SS/JA car I know of.

Btw Jeff, I still need to stop by and pick up those two books. :-)

Ed,

I would be glad to help you out if I get the chance. Your car is pretty bad too, Jeff may be right about you needing a little hp, lol.

Dennis, if you can't pound my tail really bad with one of those wildly under rated DPs, you need a new hobby. LOL
Candies' DP Hemi stocker went 9.89 in SS/JA earlier this year @ 135 MPH. I know what Lloyd's SS/ IA DP has gone.

Ed,

You may be right, 312 hp does sound a little on the soft side....

Have a good Memorial weekend!

I keep waiting for somebody to build one as a real SS car. May get some power in SS next review. Not many running that engine in SS, so Candies' runs there in SS may be the average. If that car would leave it would be a mid-nine car. It's very fast.

Hope you have a nice weekend too!
