55 Chevy 11-28-2012 12:25 PM

Re: 56 Chevy Utility sedan

There were not many of these made so if it is as good as it sounds 40 does not sound out of line. '56's utility sedans are probably rarer than '55's too.
Does it still have the original paint?

Re: 56 Chevy Utility sedan

Dick,

I just returned from the Turkey Rod Run in Daytona where I had my 1958 Pontiac Chieftain, 370, tri-power, auto, posi and 29K original miles for sale.
There were over 5000 cars there and the only cars that were selling were $15,000 and under. the best bid I got for my totally original car was $25K.

Your friend may want $40K but most likely he might get $25K in today's market unless he get's one of those guy's that really wants it.

Hey,
Saw this wagon at Syracuse Nationals car show this past summer. Obviously a Pontiac, real cool, funky wagon I thought. Figured I'd post the photo.

I believe this is a 1955 Canadian Pontiac, sedan delivery, which used a Chevrolet body. I have seen these years ago, going up into Canada to race. Eddie Rezac
