One of my fellow police officers was supposed to fly to LA on 9/11. He had a mid morning flight and wanted to go earlier. He called American Airlines and they said they would put him Flight 11 and just show up for the 7:30am flight. He overslept and missed the flight. (Gives me chillls every time I tell that story).

I saw the Tribute in Lights on the way home from work tonight. Its a very powerful and moving sight to see those two blue beams of light shooting skyward.

We were at the memorial on Monday. It was a very moving experience.
