I found Flitz about 30 years ago when I was a gun dealer. It is made in Germany and we used it to polish blued and stainless guns. Bluing is very thin and an abrasive cleaner will take it off of a gun in a heartbeat. Flitz will not take bluing off and leaves a high polish shine that also leaves a metal protection that lasts for months. That said I use it on metal, paint, plastic with great success. You don't have to use it in small areas. I apply it with one of those polishing balls on a cordless drill on my wheels. Works great. Really is worth a try. Jim

Thanks Jim...I have had my flitz since about 1990. It does do an excellent job on removing stains in aluminum, cleaning, etc. I swear you will like the California stuff the first time you use it on bare aluminum.

If I can find any, I certainly will try it! I have a brand new 2lb. can of Flitz to use up though! Thanks for the tip. Jim
