Fords hybrid technology was purchased from Toyota originally for the Escape. I think it was from the Prius first generation. Could've been 2nd tho, it has been a while.

1st gen prius was not available in the U.S.......we got the 2nd gen 1st...

Maybe would prove to be interesting , what could be done modifying and exprimenting with the technology .
