Happy Arm Forces Day all.
My father was in 25th Infantry Tropic Lightning. In Korean War 1950-51. Was 19-20 years old over there fighting.
He is buried in PineLawn National Cemetary in North Babylon since 1978, so I never got to ask any questions as I was very young. But still very proud.

Thank you Eddies66. The ball is rolling. My friends mom spoke w John, papers going out tomorrow. Told her to be aware American Legion will contact her, and left it at that. she sounds so well now. Thank you.

I am not done, I have Jackie at AMVETS in Fort Myers standing by to provide transportation for Ms Cafaro, I don't have Ms Cafaro's number so I gave AMVETS yours. Again, I am willing to pay for Ms Cafaros membership in the American Legion Post 90 so they can be the advocate to pursue her claim for a WWII widowers pension via the VA. Everyone agrees that 13 months is too long and the VA's excuse is unacceptable. Her Congressmen is next on the call list.

How close do you live to Cape Coral and Lee County, I need a backup plan for assisting the 90 year ole widow of a WWII vet.

That would just be too much of an inconvenience. If you will read the trends above we are attempting to get a 90 year old widow of a WWII vet that needs to go to the Lee County Veterans Center. She has not received her pension from the VA in 13 months. I have made contact with AMVETS and the American Legion for transportation. I was looking for a plan B.
