Does anyone know if the first picture on this thread was taken at Epping? It sure looks like it to me.

I ran my W/SA this past weekend at Woodburn and had a blast. (the old timothy turtle car) Still have some things to learn about this Slo Stocker. Going to run it this weekend at the Summit Series race. 1 gallon of fuel and twice the seat time .

If I remember right, that car was blindingly fast (for what it was, LOL!)

He won Stock Eliminator at the NHRA Nationals back when it was a nearly new car, and if memory seves me correctly, went some 15.50's doing it.

I always wondered... with all the loosening of Stocker engine rules in the ensuing years, it seemed that almost nobody ran any quicker than HE did, back in the day...

Anybody got any ideas on that???

I am not for certain but if someone were to be crazy enough to spend enough to build a modern pinto with the right parts you may get close to getting a 14 second time slip. There are 10 slow cars that i would tackle before this though.

Last i heard was somewhere in Florida.

Kenny Koonce Sr comes on here sometimes and he may know how to get up with Stan.

They used to have a Hi-Performance parts store here in Kinston , NC together ( K & S Hi -Performance)
