What was wrong with it...to big of a project for you to restore, or were you just not into the car...car looked better with all of the strips...what size engine.

Yes, they did the conversions, but I don't think the $3995 car included the 12 bolt, scattershield, and several other performance items. I think Bob Johnson was the guy that did the performance stuff at Scuncio.

I remember when those Vega's came out with the small block,,

Motion had some of the first ones out with the 302,
so the cars could be classed in D/G.

I thought you might like to know what Joel Rosen has been doing since the Motion Performance days.

I think building models was always a hobby that he turned into a very large business.

You should also check out the latest Baldwin Motion Lives site at the following web site.

Baldwin Motion Lives

I have fond memories from those days when you could purchase a car at Baldwin Chevrolet and take it down the street to Motion Performance and leave with a car that would run in the 11 second range!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think we will ever see anything like that again but boy were those the day's to be growing up in.

Re: Baldwin Motion Performance

Back in those day's money was tight so I was not in a position to walk into Baldwin Chevrolet and purchase a new car.

I did purchase a used 1965 Chevelle with a 350 engine and a 4 speed that already had a 456 gear.

I was very lucky to become friends with Dick Moroso back in the early day's before he ever started Moroso Performance.

In those days the name of his business was Performance Automotive and there was Dick and another guy named Mike who worked for him.

Those were the days before he went to work for Jere Stahl at Stahl
Headers.

Dick tuned my car and installed the cam and headers.

I remember the first time he talked to me about going to Cecil County on a Friday night.

I was about 17 years old and did not know where Cecil County was located. I had never been outside the state of Connecticut at that time.

I have so many great memories from those days.

I never got a good vibe from that car.......... It sat in my yard for quite a while and aside from being the ugliest corvette I've ever seen I really didnt have the desire to restore it, then deal with all the crazies to try and sell it LOL ..... Being the market took a dump, I feel confident I made the right decision. It had no documentation and I still question it's tie with motion. It was originally a 427/435 car and had a nash 5 spd w/ 4.56's

Bob

If you don't mind me asking, how long ago did you sell it and what did you let it go for...any other performance cars you remember roaming the streets back then.
