Why would you say that? He wants to run Indy.

Yes. It has tags, insurance and working lights. All things that wouldn't be too far of a stretch for a lot of stockers. Fortunately for me I think I can meet my goals with valve spring pressure, and valve seat widths that I can put miles on the car. I'd like to someday have a comp car I could drive on the street. Unfortunately even i'm not that optimistic. But ya never know.

Last year the quota was not met till August 15th. 1 Grade point was sufficient. Also last year I researched the prior decade of Indy in Stock Eliminator, and I believe that 180 cars had not been met for a lot of the years. Of course I am not certain if the quota was met earlier (at a higher level grade point) and there were withrdrawls that nobody took.

Well. If it were easy everyone would be doing it. Racing is hard. Anything can happen to the best driver, tuner, engine builder etc. However i'm not building a car that I don't think is capable of qualifying at all.

And to further sum up all of the above. It is significantly harder to net the results you are looking for by giving up. I have some pretty lofty goals. I know that. Hopefully I have a lot of years left to learn as a tuner, engine builder, driver, competitor, friend etc... And while I may not be known in the class racing community too well, I feel I have the experience necessary to do what I intend on doing.

Thanks for the vote of confidence however :)

Yep, it will take a heck of a lot more than valve springs and narrow valve seats. Won't even be close. I had no idea.

You misread that. My point was there is nothing to elaborate about those items, so I am able to put miles on the car. Also i'm wrong wheel drive so its not like I have options to put an outlandish ear in the car.

What makes you rocket scientists so sure. He can't do what he wants? You all beat up on "Drooze" And now his car flys (the main change was the ECU).
But in all fairness it's already been done.
I drove from NY to Orlando qualified number 1 then went to Gainesville classified 3 classes down and qualified 5th. Then drove back home and got 21 mpg traveling

I was just checking my messages. And had to reply to this one.
