Anyone have an ariplane they want to trade for a race car? I'm headed back to flying. General avaition Sport Flying is very attractively priced.

I'm sticking with the stocker motor but will make some changes to see how far I can "hang it out". So many "what ifs" to explore.

Trust me, I know all about the IHRA...3 times better than NHRA IMO. However I don't want to hold my breath too long. It was a sacrifice I prepared for when moving back out here.

I lived in So. Calif. all thru the 80's and the dragstrips slowly faded away.
As hooked on bracket racing as I am now, I cannot imagine how miserable it is out there now for a drag racer !

I'm glad I live where I can race twice a week if I wanted to.

Good luck Gary on your new venture.

P.S.--love that video of your car warming up.
I'm building an 89 5.0 Coupe Stocker right now and watch your video to pump me up !

I can relate,a few years ago I built a new engine, 4 new tires, new belts, then l lost interest overnite.
Keeping busy in my shop at home, the economy and having the freedom of a lazy weekend made the decision easy.
But when I get the bug again, my car will be ready to go. ;)

Don't kid yourself, Gary; the "Impound Area" can be plenty tough. If you make it into "the pen" at Bonneville, I'll be there waiting.

Bret, is the "pen" for record breakers, or does everyone have to go through it before running? I'm just looking forward not worrying about all the cylinder head and piston BS going on in stock right now.

Earle....I'd love to talk to you again...been a long time!!!!
