Nobody that I know with one of the new cars would object to beingin our own class.

But you need to convinve the NHRA, not us.... We agree with you.

David I admire you. You guys run your car out with no thought of getting hp. I know Keith and he likes to go fast. Classes of your own is the obvious solution and a win win for every one. Wonder why NHRA hasn't done it?

Could not have said it better Dave - you know I really wish we had our own class

We could run A/SA at Fontana and kill all of the old combos but why would we?

I wish the one car that will be in AA/SA could be in a different class - our long time fellow racer - Ryan

We are not trying to prove we are faster than the old combos

We are where we are because of the classification and rules.

We did not make or ask for the classification and the rules - we only follow them.

As to running it all out - since when do the old combos do that - letting off to save a HP hit is nothing new

Read some of the post about why would a guy run it out the backdoor on a redlight

REALLY; Drag race central showed Keith Lynch running 9.97 @ 120mph down at least 10mph or more. if thats running it all out, well it must have other problems!!!!!!

Just shows that NHRA is not "in tune" with the Sportstmen... my 15 year old even reeled at the original HP rating on the new Challengers when the DP cars were announced. If a 15 yr old track brat could figure they were bogus, why couldn't the tech dept.???? the controversy is all about the cars not being in the right classes to start with, not how fast they are... I could lay waste to P/SA if I could run my combo in that class (that's the equivalent situation with the DP's and CJ's). Go figure......

The only adjusting NHRA would have to do is to keep adjusting the index to keep these cars in Stock.We will eventually see Stockers over 150 MPH.Next rule change would be parachutes mandatory on these cars.

Well, at least he got close. HP on Tuesday will keep these cars moving in the right direction. They really do need to be in a FX class though.
