I did race for many years back in the Jr. Stock days then later a SS/IA Camaro up until around 1980. Got stupid and got married in 78 and the $$$$$ wasnt there to freely spend on toys. Worked as a tech official for 2 years with NHRA in the 74-75 era then 22 1/2 years with IHRA. Now that Im retired for the second time I now have the money to go racing BUT Im NOT going to pi$$ my money away until NHRA lets everyone in on their little secret of what they are going to do about the new under rated cars and if the old cars are going to get a screw job in the rules. It would be stupid to buy a nice older A or B stock automatic car fro $50,000 plus right now.

Well nice to.meet ya x-tech maybe guys like you tha understand the tech part should get together something with racers of new and old cars and present it to the tech department in glendora. I would love to be a future stock racer in a or b also. I like the new cars, but would love to roll out a 62-64 max wedge or a 68-69 b-body.

LOL....Im afraid the only thing NHRA will listen about this is if all of the older (and younger) guys with the big investments in the older cars stick together and force the NHRA to do something. We all know that probably wont happen.

So your saying that some of the sportsmen racers like fletcher and rampy who run older combos say something nhra wont listen.

You would have to ask them. I cant speak form them or anyone else. Im just saying that the racers wont stick together and agree on anything. Never have and I doubt they ever will. Fletcher changed engines to try and get away from the new cars in A. B, and C.

Re: 100957.00 really

Well maybe we need to put it together on here, since I know Fletcher comes on here sometime. Look at all the racers that are on here many are touring pros too. Quite sure we can get fans into to also. If we flood NHRA's mailbox and maybe speedtv's programs with this it will make them do something. We have the offseason to do all this.

I have No's 1 thru 10 with a hold on #13 at present. Production is slated for January which will follow the 2010 DP's which assembled all parts etc, then started production. Roush Industries doing the finish from the bare lightweight body, and Arrow Racing (who has been the center for all things V10 from the start) is doing the motors. Prototype motor was pretty good. I know it went down the strip, but no info available. @450 HP runs aa/sa @ 3545lbs. Anybody want one? 70 is the projected number which follows the blown Fords of 2010. The thoughts from Detroit is more of these cars will go into storage than the other DP cars, but probably 20 or so race cars. Some familiar racers have signed up already.

Jeff are you still part of the sportsman committee?

Worth every penny and more

Andy and I met and talked to Joe today - I gave him something to give to you when he gets home

We also spent about 30 minutes with Dale -. the V10 Drag Pak project manager

He answered all of my remaining questions and gave me his email address

Finally, briefly spoke with Danny

What kills me is - everyone wants to tell me something negative that they know and I don't - about the future - hell they have even seen "THE letter"

I wish just one person had something positive to say

Geezzee guys - give it a rest - I will be very fast next year in A/SA - oh I mean AA/SA

BTW - GO JOE
