Re: Hood scoopes
Simple answer-Use what you can get away with in Tech. The water gets muddier with time and the fine points are lost.

I would agree street hemi B body was no hood scoop. And I also am under the impression scooped Fairlane's were SS only and a very popular dealer add on. But again, I'm no expert on Ford's! |
Re: Hood scoopes
What are "hood scoopes"? Oh, you mean hood scoops. Nice spelling.

The word "can't", as in "can not", utilizes an apostrophe.

Re: Hood scoopes
John Dee & I ran a 67 Fairlane 4 door wagon, 427/410 single 4 barrel 4 speed car in the early 70s without the hood scoop in E/S in Div 2. To the best of my knowledge it was a SS option on the 2-4 motor only but I could be wrong. No one else ever ran a scoop on one back then either ,strictly the 427/425 hardtop SS cars. Richard Charboneau {sp} never ran one either. That was before special letters from Mfgrs existed though
