Well, I'm the firs guy home, cuz I was the first guy out
Was great to see those who DID get to th Hat, it was sad to see so few though.

yup... 8 all together running the combo.

Larry, I'm still new to getting out to these races. The names I knew were;
Tom Skjonsberg ( I BELIEVE I spelled that correctly ?! ) BEAUTIFUL orange A/SA hemi car
Darcy Clarke, red AA/SA 64 max wedge ( yup, if I had a Mopar ! )
Randy Hastings with his snappy little V(I believe )/SA slant 6 Volare/Aspen ?
my sincerest apologies for being bad with names ( you'd think with a name like mine, I'd be better at it ?)
Yellow SS/PA 56 Chevy, screamin' 265
Orange Volare/Aspen... H/SA, I believe...
Then on Sunday, two other guys showed up;
a mid 70's Firebird, 350... M/SA ?
and a NASTY SS/GT car... a black Cobalt. not sure of engine

MAN it was HOT there !!!!!!!!

The 56 chev was Sheldon Erffle. Barry Polley was in his H/SA Volare. Norm LaPoint showed up sunday in his SS Cobalt. David Rastad was here with Shaun Kvauss's (spelling?) Firebird, but had electrical issues and only made a qualifying pass Sun. Aubrey, what do you mean when you say hot? The temp wasn't close to where it will be in a couple of weeks! It was nice catching up with you.

Results would be appreciated as well...thanks!

Don't help when you have a car sitting at home????????

Norm's Cobalt is Awesome..... I talked to Norm @ Acton a couple of years a go (I think it's also the last complete ss/gt car alf wiebe built?)

I Think MHDRA did another great job with their National Open. Congratulations to the winners ( Saturday) Sheldon Erffle and (Sunday) Norm Lapointe, as well as number 1 qualifier Sheldon Erffle both days. The car count was disappointing but understandable for double booking class car events.

It was nice to see Graham Light visiting all 3 days at a grass roots track to see a well run event. The NHRA Crew did a great job of Track Prep as well as Starting and Tech, every round we weighed but there was no fuel check.

As far as Photos of the event we didn't take any as Blair Alderton from Nitro Images was doing a great job again and I am sure he will post some either here or on his website.
