Re: IHRA D5 Byron ProAm - NHRA Members & Certs Okay!
I've always liked running IHRA, however the loss of tracks in my area has made it a moot point as the closest decent track is 5hours away. I can race some N and some combo races and not travel more than 4, pure logistics in my case. Joe

We would like to try out an IHRA event, but the timing of this event just does not work for us. Right after the 2 weeks at Joliet does not make sense to me.

I hope no offense is taken, but it is my opinion that comments expressed a few posts back only undermine the intent of the crossover deal and widen the "N" and "I" disagreements. It's almost one of those sour grape comments.
Think how the N guys considering taking advantage of the deal feel about the "I" guys having an attitude about it. The "N" guys bought and paid for their license and certificatin just like the "I" guys. Just why is either due some discount? "NOT" This could be a great start to get car counts up and help track owners make a few more bucks to pay the bills in these hard economic times. I'm like Joe... I think there should be a 2 way crossover with license and certifications. It's time for it. |
