Tom.........I worked on theTECH CREW at that race. Would you believe that a '63 Vette
B/SP driven by Art Monack broke a rear end on the steel sheet starting line. We didn't know what the bite would be like until time trials started. Also, we only had single lane clocks but we had win lights. There were 2 guys sitting near the finish line "eyeing"
the cars to determine who won. They had a switch to turn on the right or left lane. One car broke and coasted thru and they timed his crossing with the light perfectly. One racer
came to us and said that he felt he won but the light came on in the other lane. It was a race like no other !!!!!
