Remember the old phrase......'Support your local dragstrip' ??? I guess it means just as much today as it did when somebody out there coined it many years ago....You guys out there, please give theses new owners a shot...we don't need another warehouse, office park, Wal-Mart or whatever in it's place! I was there once....gee I guess it was 1989, for the points race. Lost first round in Stock to Don Holben....is he still racing?? I remember the 'funny tower', the burnout 'up the hill' to track level, and the track running slightly uphill. Also, a very clean grassy pit area...nicely manicured, with sealed asphalt pit roads, etc! I was certainly impressed, very similar to conditions at Norwalk a few years later!

Don't forget about the great ice cream and really helpful track people...

I understand that they have sanctioned with IHRA.

I raced with Mark Mazzant and his family at QCR. Definitely good people.
They'll do well.

I'd like to see a points meet back there for div 1 or 3 if they went back with IHRA.
They do need to put some showers there if they have the funds. The last time I raced there, everything else was nice.
