Re: CR stop showing off

So you were the one that did that. I was in the staging lanes when I heard a car had gone into the sand. Was wondering how a super gas car could not get slowed down in time to not make the turn off. Figured something had to of broken. My dad had a shock break on him during a super gas run in our old Camaro. I know he could barely keep it under control. Luckily, didn't hit anything other than a timing block.

Yea ,,, JJ

That was me ,,,,

Rock ,,, you are so right ,,,, it could have bee multitudes worst ,,,,

This also happen to me in Chicago , right after I hit the wall at National Trails ,,, I broke the strut spindle on the opposite side ,,,,, repaired and sent the one that broke this time out to be checked , nagnafluxed etc...the whole deal,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, This time I'm replacing everything up front , with new Strange stuff , quite costly but considering I didn't get hurt and total the car , I am trully blessed and will be able to race again .

Ruth , we missed you in Indy ,,, Had a couple of your buddies looking for you ,,,,My 401k or really it is a 201k now could have been put to better use on racing parts vs evaporating .

Rock ,,, as far as help , I probally had 10/15 racers loading the car ( I was a basket case , standing around
in shock , while my crew and fellow racers took care of the car ) --- I couldn't tell if they wer glad I was O.K. or glad I was out of the competition :)

Again , thanks for all of the calls and caring , it meant a lot and is one of the reasons I enjoy the sport so much -----It is all about the people and the racing community !

Colorfull Racer ----- OH !!!!!! Did you see that number 37 on the car :) :) :)

I'll be at Norwalk for sure and may sneak out before that once the car is repaired !!

Tim ,,, glad you and brother in law found and fixed a potential problem ,,,,,,,
While in Virgina this weekend , another Super Class racer broke a part on the front end but caught it in the staging lanes and was able to repair prior to the next round !!

Note : To all that read this board , now is a good time to check all of your front end parts, components , fastners etc ,,, as previously posted by Mr. Chillik ,,,,,, MY incident could have really been ugly !!
