Bill, they originally had Schneider C-4's in them, Rusty Hall had a problem @ Arizona Nationals. They now have JPT (Jim Pacquet) C-4's in them and are performing a lot better, i.e. 9.79 @ 140.17 at Dallas. They did break a imput shaft and I checked out the C-4 and loaned them another one (imput shaft). They are so quite you would think they had mufflers, but they don't. And they do get down the track very quickly.

I am sorry but I dont think I would want to lock the brakes at 140 120s is hard enough in a Stocker, I really dont envy them.

Thanks for the info, RJ. I wasn't aware of the change in tranny guys. Sorry for the mis-information; Len's stuff is usually top-flight.

I guess when you start putting 700+ horsepower through a transmission designed for a Pinto, (LOL!) you can expect that it might have longivity problems.... :(

Bob,
Can you womp, womp, womp an injected supercharged car?

140 mph from the off-the-shelf CJs. The tricked out, down to weight CJs will be running 145 mph.

What was my prediction? 9.45 @ 143 by the end of the season? Bruce, I couldn't find the post. Can you?
143 should be a 9.29 so I'm allowing for some inefficency.
Mainly because they can afford to be sloppy.
The Challengers will push the CJ's to let it all hang out. ;)

Jeff,

I made a similar prediction during the Factory Experimental thread. And I remember your prediction as well. Do you remember which thread it was in? That would help. I think you can go into your own account information and retreive that post/information.

Bruce, I stopped my project over a year ago, it may never be finished. I guessed it was going to be a joke with the CJs coming, now even the Mopar looks like another joke.

Bill, when you started this thread , you stated that you used a weight of 3358 lbs. for your HP calculations. In another thread on this forum, titled "More enhancement", someone, who claimed to have been there when the car in question driven by Jimmy Holzman went across the scales, states that the weight was 3485 lbs. Try plugging that into your calculator; 127 additional lbs. should make a significant difference.

Gentleman, I think NHRA will change Stock Eliminator to 1970 and newer vehicles before they move these Mustangs out of Stock!
