Re: "WHAT IF" part 4
Also make SS & Stock all run no matter how many cars show up and we would run them on a ladder from the start.
Modified !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in heaven !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! they use to run off of the records. Neat |
Re: "WHAT IF" part 4
Gary Hampton...
I like your idea. No need to make it possessive... (racers') It would still be still "CRA," if that name were chosen. Maybe they could post a poll on the new name and have several choices.... that'd work! |

Re: "WHAT IF" part 4
I like it! What I really like is you are proposing locations nationally. Typically I see the "spin-off" organizations like NMCA and the like focused only on the mid-west and east from there; too regional to matter in my opinion.
Being away from racing for nearly 24 months has not bothered me in the least. The cars' getting major work done to it and I am making money this year. Last year put me in the poor house so it's make up time. But today I spoke to a friend that raced Stock this weekend at the D7 race in Chandler. They missed Q1 & Q2 Friday as he had to be at work. Q3 was Saturday @ 8:00 am. E1 was immediately thereafter. He won. So he sat around until Sunday @ 8:00 for E2. He lost. That kind of sitting around with no purpose just takes the fun out of going to the races! |

Re: "WHAT IF" part 4
I still believe that S & SS is a very valuable untapped resource. All that is needed is for someone to sell it. If you dont try to sell it, then it probably wont be sold.
I firmly believe that it is up to us to sell ourselves as the current sanctioning bodies have already informed us they arent interested in selling us. I was watching the "Sportsman" broadcast on ESPN2 and they showed all Alcohol cars, then listed the winners without even a picture of the other Sportsmen at the end. Why? when SS and S was voted the highest draw in NHRA's own pole? Let us do it ourselves! No one else is going to do it, but us. |
