I am very, very saddened to hear this. Janet was a real breath of fresh air. Always gracious, kind and generous. Jody, Toby, and family, you have our most heart-felt sympathy.

Our family was in shock to hear of Janet's sudden death. It is still even hard to comprehend. She may have been small in stature but was HUGE within the community of NHRA sportsman racing. In all of the years we have been racing at the same venue with the Lang's, I can't recall a single instance where Janet didn't pass by on her 3-wheeler without a genuine smile and a friendly wave, or stop to offer her congratulations on a previous win for someone on our team. To be in her early seventies, she was still sharp as a tack. She understood racing at a championship level as evidenced by both of her sons continued success over the years behind the wheels of their race cars. To see Toby and Jody at the races without their mom will be a very hard reality check for all of us. I can't even begin to imagine the grief that Toby, Jody, and those close to the family must be feeling. This sure puts things in perspective. Our thoughts are with you.

I too ,am very sad to hear this news. Janet was a wonderful person and will be missed.
She did leave us with a couple of great racers though. Hang in there, guys.

I am stunned. It is very sad to hear of such a wonderful person pass. Janet was such a kind, warm person. She will always be fondly remembered.

Very sad news indeed, one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and a great supporter of both her boys and the sportsman racer alike, we all should be as lucky as you to have a mom like yours.

I am so saddened to hear this. Janet was a very sweet and warmhearted lady who put a smile on the faces of all of those who were lucky enough to be around her. My deepest condolences to the entire Lang family.
