Congratulations to Ricky Decker on his 2008 S/S World Championship.

There are lots of things that happen during a championship season that can effect the final outcome. Some of them can be called a quirk of fate. We chose Ricky's car for teardown at the Memphis National event. Without a whimper he said where do you want the car. As the engine was being disassembled the rotor cap in the distributor was found to be loose with the screws backed almost all the way out. The next run down the track was first round of eliminations. His championship season could have ended at Memphis with a broken rotor cap. That was one time teardown turned out to be a good thing!

Hey Worner,

I think there will be plenty of beer to go around out there this weekend....Tell Byron if he wins the race, I will send him a case!!!!!!!!!!!! Just wanted to also congratulate the DeFrank family on a great season as well!!!
