Re: Input or suggestions on Data Aquisition systems
I was curious - what sampling rate do you guys find optimal or necessary? In other words, how fast do you need your sampling to be in order to see the "events" you are looking for?
Thanks, Michael Pliska |

Most bracket racers are bracket racers for a reason...we are all on budgets and can't really justify spending that kind of money on information. We usually figure the time ticket is our best information. With that said...if you look at RaceData, RaceData gives you all the information that the higher end units without the higher cost. Racedata does not give the user the ability to change sampling rates...why, most peopel get in there and get the rates all jacked around and forget where they were or why they did it...sooner or later you are using all your memory and sample speeds on items that don't need it. RaceData has set their sampling rates according to physics...you can only heat water or tranny fluid so fast for example. RaceData's software is extremely user friendly and offers all the same features..build your own graphs, overlay them, etc. RaceData will very soon be offering shock monitors and a built in weather station. Their web site does not show it, but they do offer O2 sensors as well. |
