Thanks, Bob
I was wondering today where you had been. I hate that I missed you in Dallas and I hate even more that you didn't have your car. I hope that the converter is working out for you. I will try to make Houston but Rodney's little girl is having a dance recitial that Sat. and Trevor's wife is graduating. I am trying to talk Rodney into driving back after Friday qualifing and coming back Sat nite. We will see how it goes.

Toby, I am glad that you cleared up that question. I was observing that you won regularly before the buttons and are now back on again. I assumed that might be what had changed but I know that we shouldn't assume anything. Anyway congratulations on your wins by doing it the old fashion way, footbrake all the way.
I have the button on my brake petal but so far I haven't used it. I also would have been happy if the eliminated two steps on all automatics.

Toby and Jody work hard to go rounds. It isn't a fluke. Wins come and go for most of us, but those guys know how to put the wins together.

If I had half of the work ethic and proper preparation those guys do, I'd be dangerous.

I dont think the buttons, etc have much to do with it. The winners will win. The effort we put in dictates how well we do.

How about we stop bothering NHRA by pushing for all these rule changes, and Just
**%^ing race already. Why can't we just all race the way we like within the rules that we have. NO MORE CHANGES!!!!! If we all get a rule change that we like, how about 1 lb breaks and combine sticks and auto's for more heads up?? I'm sure these guys wont like that change. Maybe the Reps will listen to that.

Toby so if I read your post correctly your saying you don't use a 2-step or button but both you and Jody do in fact use blinder's correct??

No, we don't use blinders. Never have. Also, Jody has never used a button or two-step either. He does use a transbrake and two-step in Super Stock, but no blinder.

Going by Peter Biondo's comments in Dragster about expecting other people maybe having problems adjusting to the new rules it sounds like he doesn't use them either. Maybe he could come on here and clear that up. Either way he one of the best currently racing.

Ok thanks I believe ya Toby but can you please tell us why on earth Jody has those silly looking itty-bitty teeny-tiny front motorcycle tires on his wagon if he does'nt use a blinder??? You don't have tires like that on your Chevelle. Why would'nt he just have a normal size front drag tire like everyone so his car doesn't look like a S/G car ??? Great job @ Pomona & Phoenix (again)!! http://www.dragracecentral.com/stori...0743-00385.JPG

Dave, every car reacts different, and every driver reacts different. That combination works for him.

You'd think that my Volare and Terry Knott's Dart Sport, virtually clones of each other, would react the same. Until this year, the Volare was several hundredths slower in rollout. The Mirada reacts several hundredths slower yet! Even more interesting, my Duster bracket car out-reacts the Volare by a couple hundredths, despite being more than a tenth slower in the 60'.

MB <- has owned 23" frontrunners.

Not positive if he's still using blinders, but Peter's still using the 2-step on the pedal. He had a problem with it when we ran in the finals at Immokalee, and the car rolled in on him. (Good thing, because he probably would've toasted me!)
He was using blinders last year: http://www.dragracecentral.com/DRCPhoto.asp?ID=151403
