How long you been at it?

Haha, all my life as you well know, and I've learnt from the best! I'm missing racing so much that I've gotta do something, and complaining about the new cars is all I got!

Detroit hasn't built a carbureted car since the mid 80s. So, you are wanting the class to be nostalgia Stock? EFI hardly ruined Stock. I love how you cry babies make blanket statements that don't really make any sense. One car was a run-away in the 90s, the LT-1, but there were plenty of other EFI combos that got spanked by carb cars.

Yes, it's 2010. Strap the feed bags on, then let them all run....we've got some great new cars out there, and there's a bunch of new Sheriffs ready to roll into town......:D WJ

I dont think NHRA will allow that after they make a pass? I know IHRA would not allow it for sure.

Its been a tough day, and I guess it pretty obvious I did not choose the right class. I probably would have been in the top 40 if I would have went to A. Oh well, no one to blame but me. I did not take into account how much the new cars would effect the bump. I would say it was 7 to 8 faster last year, but the bump went up mostly because of the new cars this year.

My troubles are nothing compared to the three guys that are broke and will probably not be racing. Larry Hill broke engine, Keith Lynch had some ignition problems that he said he could not overcome. I watch Joey Wilkes run, he started to smoke a bit by the 400 foot mark, some pieces flew out, and he oil the track a little. I think it was the engine but I could be wrong.

I feel so bad for Larry, two engines in one year.

The local weather calls for a little more cloud cover tomorrow not as hot, 84 for the high. Not sure it will be any quicker, but we will run at 8 am sharp for first round of class, which counts as our last qualifying shot.

Not at all.Just have them factored to within the next county that's all.
Plain and simple. These cars(DP/CJ)would just be another car in S/S.The factories
wanted them to stick out and NHRA whored themselves (like they did with the FI
cars in the 90s)only it's more obvious now.If I had aA-E car I guess you could call it crying on my part. But I only have a lowly T car.Do you hear me crying about Bob's car?BTW
what make and class is your car?

Jim & Mary Hale. He says this is his last Indy. He is calling it quits at the end of the year.

Hate to hear that. I have yet to meet this guy yet and only live 3 miles from him. I know I keep up with him at all the races.

Is anyone else having trouble with Live Timing this morning? It works and then it stops... right now it is giving the pairs but no information on the run. This is SO maddening!! It worked a while and now we're back to freeze frame... geez! Just great! Now it says "service unavailable"!!! :(
