With all the racing that needs to get done, what's the holdup? Gonna be a long day.

What is the definition and criteria for a "shinny" carburetor?
In the past I have purchased and installed for friends rebuilt carburetors that look better than new.

When I had a Stocker in the past I had a Q-Jet spot checked and was told it was to shiny at the base......measured fine but was to shiny...

Was not DQ'ed but told don't bring it back at the next race...

It was an arbitrary call.....and I did not argue it....did what was asked...

Question here. Can a carbs venturi be cleaned up with jewelers rouge. I've read the rules and thus the question.

Good luck today all you stocker people, you're lucky, no morning glare, juniors took the light for you.

It would be like owning a record--in 2 years it expires. Give those racers that cheated the Hp according to the AHFS for how far under the automatic trigger of 1.20 under. This way, the only people they hurt are themselves. This starts after their time off finishes its course.

I believe that if implemented by NHRA it would generate two major results; help stop the obvious cheated up part, catch me if you can, to stop the addition of power, the building of new cars because there’s wouldn’t be as competitive with the new personal Hp.

The list of personal Hp would be short after the first few applications.

Please do not push for personal Indexes. Comp is a mess now with the way Personal Indexes are setup. To make it short, Personal index goes with the driver in the class they went fast in,not the car. Switch class or car and no personal index hit. So in stock, go up or down a class and personal index would go away. In comp, change intake from 2 carbs to 1 carb and personal index goes away. Part that also bothers me is slower car can be higher on qualifying ladder because they use personal index here also.

You want to keep them from cheating.....Take away Grade points for 2 years, so no national events.., and no cannot set run class for 2 years based on violation
