BTW

I am selling mine too - trouble is who would want it?

It will be worth more as a possible "resto"[/QUOTE]

Sad but true......most any older nice muscle car in restored driveable condition is now worth more than the old stockers no matter how fast they are thanks to the new sh......I mean the new cars. If its a "REAL" car with papers its worth even more. I predicted this on the "For Sale" section of this forum right after Indy but the powers in charge decided to remove the post to be politically correct.....lol. Pennies on the dollar if your lucky although they will make nice bracket cars.

Getting rid of heads up would be the stuppidest move ever made by the NHRA and they have made some really stupid moves.

They do need to fix the issue with these FX cars. Best thing put them in there owen class.

The odds of me winning a heads up race are close to nill. But that is what I signed up for when we converted the car to stock.

If you don't like heads up build your self a top sportsman car you get to go fast and dial in. Plus they now run them at NHRA races so you still get to run for a wally.

This is my question to you. How many people race the same car for 25 plus years? Not very many, you know why? Because that are always looking for a better combo to improve their advantage. That is what this class is made of, people looking for a class which they can have an advantage over there competitor. This has not changed for 50 years. These new cars are just a little softer then in past years.

That's all fine.

But what about guys like me, who bought a car that's been flogged on for 25 years trying to get our feet wet.... there is no competitive place for us to run now.

I love the cars, I love the attention they are getting.... but they are getting it for the wrong reasons, they are fast because of the paperwork, not because of fabrication and ingenuity.

Sean, how are you affected by these cars when you do not run in the higher classes?
BTW...as regards to fabrication and ingenuity, these cars are high tech stuff.

No need to weigh - no need to fuel check except maybe in qualifying - hell let's change that too and make it go off of reaction time

Think of the money NHRA will save - no need for a class guide or anymore tear downs.

No one would care what class you are (or are suppose to be)

Would not have to invest in anymore expensive "go fast" parts or technology

No Headsup great idea ... NOT

Do you race in Stock? Do you put a dial in on your window with shoe polish? If you do you're already a bracket racer and what is the point of a heads up run against a car that has you covered by a second....pride?

What I proposed was for discussion only, not necessarily what I believe but many people here spend hours bitching about how unfair these cars are but don't propose any realistic solutions.

Personally I believe they should have gone straight into SS the day they were released, I also like the FX idea but how likely is it that the NHRA will make those sweeping changes!

The crate 'Stangs and the Drag Pack can run in E and I believe F so it is of concern to me.
