New Classes – New Rules For 2015

New classes are being created in Stock and Super Stock. These will be exclusively for the New Cars, defined as 2008 or newer, COPO’s, Mustang’s and Dragpak’s. Stick and Automatics will be combined. In stock there will be 6 classes with weight breaks that run from 6.00 to 11.99. In super stock there will be 7 classes with weight breaks from 5.5 – 12.49. In super stock the new factory cars will not be able to run in the GT classes. All Current NHRA HP will be carried forward. As for Class eliminations they will compete against themselves as all classes have done in the past.

The AHFS will apply for all races other than the Factory Shoot0ut races.

Mine Shaft Rule: Stock and Super Stock will have a “mine shaft rule”. It will read something to the effect that there needs to be at least 33 cars and if more than half of the field is quicker than .85 under the AHFS will not apply with the exception of the 1.20 under rule for that particular eliminator. So if stock has 80 cars and the 41st qualifier is .87 under, then the AHFS will not be in affect for Stock for that race. But if someone in stock runs quicker than 1.20 under they will still get HP on Tuesday.

After Market radiators will be allowed in 2015 in Stock. Full size stock radiator mandatory for body used. Aluminum radiators permitted; must retain stock dimensions and appearance. Cutting, denting, or elimination of any body, fender, radiator, or grille panels prohibited.

Intercooler tanks must be OEM and remain in stock location.
