NHRA Summernationals Englishtown, NJ Winners

It was a beautiful spell of weather for the NHRA this past weekend at the Englishtown Nationals; the skies were clear and the temperature was around the mid to high 70s. Being that this is one of the bigger national events, the sportsman classes were stacked with some very tough competitors. Overall, it was a mixed bag of wins; while some people red lit by a few thousandths of seconds, other racers found themselves in the midst of a double breakout.

Jonathan Allegrucci wasn’t able to make it to the final round of Super Stock after having a problem during semifinals that caused him to pull over to the wall approximately 100 feet out on the track. With this, William Kennedy automatically got the win and has now claimed his first national event victory.

Carl Massafra and Larry Miller faced off in the Stock Eliminator final; Miller had the starting line advantage with a .038 light to Massafra’s .053. However, Miller wasn’t able to close in the gap enough resulting in a break out of five-thousandths, thus handing over the win to Massafra. Big congratulations to Massafra for earning his first national event win!
