Micheal Iacono teams up with Charles Urbino
Micheal Iacono started driving for Charles Urbino last year. Charles purchased this car from Billy Leber towards the end of 2013. “The car was already very nice”, Micheal tell us, but Charles likes his stuff über clean, so after the last race of the year they went to work. The car went to CD Customs at Wayne’s Auto Body for the paint and body work. As soon as that was done they sent the car to Kenny Richard to get a new interior. Kenny with the help of Paul Ricci, assembled the car with a slew of new parts with an attention to detail that is unparalleled.
Micheal couldn’t be happier with the way the car looks and performs. Tilburg Racing Engines updated the 396 over the winter and made them some more horsepower, and Sepanek Racing Transmissions freshened up the Glasbrenner Metric 200. .
Micheal and Charles tested earlier in the year at Atco and although the air was as fast as it’s ever going to be, the Camaro went 10.43 at 126 mph in D/SA trim, pretty sout! Although They have not had much success with the new configuration as of yet, Micheal and Charles optimistic because it’s the same car that Micheal drove to a runner up finish at the National event in Reading, PA a few years back when Billy Leber owned it. Micheal and Charles plan on going to a few national events this year and might even attempt the trek to Indy for the 60th.
Another year begins 2016 gator nationals One final five class wins in 2015 i’m sure this year will be better
