Dodge – Drag Pak on track for 2015

hellcatMopar Motorsports Manager Dale Aldo says the 2015 Super Charged Drag Pak is on track and it will be in the books soon. Aldo has been quoted saying “You’ve been asking for a supercharged package car, and thats what we have been working on”. Although it is still not in the books, be assured it will be there. Aldo has also been quoted that Mopar will continue to be involved in the sportsman ranks. “We have products for our racers and we want to support them the best we can,” he says.

The supercharged combination will use an 426 aluminum block with Apache type cylinders headed, all other components have not been made public yet, including the the type of supercharger being used. No NHRA horse power rating has be announced or what weight break it will run. Speculation is it will be rated at 550 with a shipping weight of 3300lbs, giving it a weight break of 6.0, and making it a natural FS/A car

The test Drag Pak car shown here will have cosmetic upgrades, but also also have some functional upgrades  The 2015 will have a Mopar K-Member with strut suspension geometry, front struts will have adjustable compression and rebound and the four-link rear suspension will have a Panhard bar, along with 9-inch aluminum third member. The rear shocks will be adjustable compression and rebound, working with an anti-sway bar.
