Rumor was it was for sale ten years ago and that's all it was. I have followed you're interest in stockers for sale...gonna jump in? Sarrett's car is now residing in California.

That is who you would have to reach out to. As to their needing to make their profit, the argument is, what if all the cars from your group entered as time trial only. The track wouldn't receive any additional money from the racers. The benefit to the track is the "show" that you would be putting on for them. That would require you or someone designated, to collect and disburse to the winners, the cash for the payout from the racers participating in that event. This can work.
I deal directly with the management. What I said about the Tribe comes from the manager.

Racers buy a tech card. That money goes to the track. WE collect a lane fee and then pay it back to the racer @ 100%..That's the way we've always done it.
So how do I make any money? Skim the payouts? Pray for 3 in the semi's and 5 in the quarters? Not how it's done here...
Summit team races, ADRA etc. all do it the same way.

I almost pulled the trigger on Sarrett's car, Rick. But I couldn't get the wife(she wants to drive also) to go for a car that slow. She wants to stay in the 10's.
