Default 2010 Tri-State S/SS Schedule presented by Jim Bailey/Finished Racing

Sunday, May 23, Quarter Aces Dragway, Boiling Springs PA (1/8 mile)
Saturday, July 31, Quaker City Raceway, Salem Ohio
Saturday, August 14, Beaver Springs Dragway, Beaver Springs PA ($50 entry)
Sunday, August 15, Beaver Springs Dragway, Beaver Springs PA
Saturday September 18, Pittsburgh Raceway Park, New Alexandria PA
Saturday-Sunday, November 6-7, Mason-Dixon Dragway, Hagerstown MD

-Quarter Aces (formerly South Mountain Dragway) is 1/8 mile. Hoosier Tire is putting up gift certificates, $100 for the winner, $50 for the runner-up. Also there will be a $50 prize for Best Package.

-Quaker City is charging a $40 tech card fee, but is putting it back into the race purse, up to 40 cars. So if we get a 40 car field, the race purse will $5,600 ($4,000 in race entry + $1,600 from the track). 40 car field would pay $50 second round loss, $100 third, $250 fourth, $500 semi, $1,200 r/u and $2,400 win. $140 entry for possibly $2,400 win cash! No NHRA/IHRA race can do that!

-Beaver Springs, the track will put the S/SS winner each day into their Top Beaver Race, which takes that days winner in Top, Modified, Street and Bike and runs them off in a free entry race for $300 win, $100 r/u. With the S/SS winner into the Top Beaver Race, winner is $300, R/U $100 and semifinal $50.

-The race at Pittsburgh is part of the Pittsburgh Int'l Dragway and Keystone Raceway Park (which is now PRP) Nostalgia Reunion race.

-The race at Hagerstown is a two-day weekend. Saturday is test and tune ($30) and a $20 entry S/SS Gamblers race, to pay back winner, r/u and possibly semifinal. 10 cars, $20, $200 purse, $125 win, $50 r/u and 25 semi. The main race will be Sunday.

-Jim Bailey and Finished Racing (www.finishedracing.com) will provide $50 credits to the event winners, $25 credits to the event r/u's. If you are a customer and have had work done by him AND display his decal, credits of $100 for winners and $50 r/u's. Big thanks to Jim for his support!

Also huge thanks to Stock Racer Gary J Smith, for designing our Series Flyer!

Any questions, feel free to contact me. Hope to see you all in 2010!

Forgot to add. $25 Points Fee. You do not need to pay this to race, just to be eligible for points. Best three finishes of the six races will be your points total. The top three points finishers will be paid. Amount(s) dependent on membership. Example: 25 members @ 25 cars = $625 total Points Fund. Champ will receive 475, second place 100, third place 50. Check the Points Members thread for all the payout formats. Membership fee may be paid at any race, before first round. Also you can send check/money order to me.

Payout structure, 100% payback:
10 cars, $50 second round, 100 third, 250 r/u, 550 win
15 cars, 50 second, 100 third, 300 r/u, 800 win
20 cars, 50 second, 100 third, 200 fourth, 400 r/u, 950 win
25 cars, 50 second, 100 third, 200 fourth, 500 r/u, 1,000 win
30 cars, 50 second, 100 third, 200 fourth, 600 r/u, 1,250 win
35 cars, 50 second, 100 third, 200 fourth, 400 fifth, 600 r/u, 1,250 win
40 cars, 50 second, 100 third, 200 fourth, 400 fifth, 700 r/u, 1,500 win
45 cars, 50 second, 100 third, 200 fourth, 400 fifth, 800 r/u, 1,500 win
50 cars, 50 second, 100 third, 200 fourth, 400 fifth, 800 r/u, 1,600 win
55 cars, 50 second, 100 third, 200 fourth, 400 fifth, 900 r/u, 1,800 win
60 cars, 50 second, 100 third, 200 fourth, 400 fifth, 1,000 r/u, 2,150

This based off the $100 Race Entry (20 cars = $2,000 race purse). If the track kicks in any money, the payout (and possibly round money) will be increased. For example, Quarter Aces is putting $20 from each tech card fee ($40) into the purse. So, 20 cars would make a race purse of $2,200, and payout would increase to 550 r/u and 1,200 win, or $250 semi, 500 r/u and 1,050 win. Quaker City is charging a $40 tech card fee, but is putting it back into the purse, up to 40 cars. So, 20 cars at Quaker means a purse of 2,800, and payout would be 300 semi, 700 r/u and 1,450 win. 40 cars at Quaker is a $5,600 race purse, 50/100/250/500/1200 r/u 2400 win (better than just about any National/Divisional race anywhere!). The first Beaver Springs race is $50 entry, and would pay 25 second, 50 third, 100 fourth, 200 r/u and 425 win for twenty cars.

An idea I am considering for this season. At each race we have this year, during the final time trial, we have a Best Package run like we do at Hagerstown in the fall. Five bucks, put a dial on the car, best total package wins the pot, minus redlights and breakouts. If all cars have either a redlight and/or breakout, total closest package to .000 will win the pot. If there is a tie, racers will split. I'd like to award points for each Best Package shootout, and possibly have the top two or four run off at Hagerstown in November on Saturday (or even on Sunday). If you're one of the lucky four, would you be willing to put up something small ($20-$50), winner take all (or winner/runner-up)? Four cars, each put up $25, either pay all 100 to the winner or 25 r/u and 75 to win. I'll kick some money in as well, to make the payout better. Thoughts?
