Default 11th Annual Sportsman Circuit Shootout @ Atco - July 27-28th

Join us the weekend before the LUCAS OIL D1 race at Atco Dragway for Race # 6 & 7 of the 2019 season for a great warm-up the weekend before the Lucas Race.

Gates will open at 5pm on July 26th for a Track operated Test & Tune and Street Night. You may also get parked for the weekend. We will have restrictions on where you can park for the LUCAS RACE!! You may park there for the .90 Race but, if you park in the restricted area (Pretty much the three rows past the fence to the staging lanes, I'll have a map attached shortly) you will need to move for the LUCAS Race. You also MAY NOT SAVE SPOTS FOR YOUR FRIENDS. IF THEY ARE NOT ATTENDING THE .90 RACE OR IF THEY HAPPEN TO BREAK SOMETHING AND PLAN ON RETURNING THE NEXT WEEKEND THEY WILL HAVE TO PARK ELSEWHERE. All Tape, etc will be removed Sunday Night by myself and track staff. We need to make sure we are playing by the NHRA D1 Rules as this is a track and D1 curtesy to allow us to leave our rigs there, so we can't abuse it. Gates will be closed around 12pm that night and normal fee's that ensue with Friday Night will be

Saturday July 27th - Gates open at 8am with racing kicking off at 9am with Juniors. We will also be with Dave Ley's Stk/SS series with us that weekend for their first events of the 2019 season. They are going to be running in a rotation of Juniors, SST, SC, Stk/SS, SG back into Juniors, etc. There is also a Super Pro, Pro race starting around 2pm so it will be a jammed packed weekend, so we need EVERYONES help. When we call you to the lanes, we need to up there and ready to rock & roll. Once you are paired for whatever round you are in, move up so we can call the next class. Last year between Dave & My series we had over 175 cars, so a lot to get through in one day but, we rolled through it....even though I missed a wedding...haha.

All racers who enter on Saturday or Sunday will get a gift bag full of products from ZEP. Thanks to Rich Fetch & his team for the cool give-a-way to all the racers!

The BBQ on Saturday will be just that, a BBQ of Burgers, Dogs, etc. Something simple and to the point since I know it will be a long day for all.

Per Day:
Gate Fee: $30
.90 Series: $80
Membership (If you want): $75
Crew: $15
27 Cars = $1,000 to the winner (More Cars = More $$$ to the racer)

Sunday will be a little less jammed packed as we will have Dave's group for Race # 2 of their season, Motorcycle Points and Nostalgia Class. We will look at new entries for the day and decide if we go with 1 or 2 Time Runs.

Hope to see you all there for two great days of racing and a good time by all!!

Here is the parking layout for the Lucas Race. This way we all know where to park and not park. You MAY park in the restricted areas for the East Coast Stk/SS & .90 Race but, be aware once racing is completed on Sunday Night of the event you will need to leave that area and move elsewhere, unless you are a sponsor, alky car or have previous agreement with Dave Mohn & D1 that allows you to park there. Also as previously mentioned no saving of spots for friends, The Atco staff have told me all tape will be taken down on Sunday Night and rigs will be parked in those spots. Of course you can leave a space next to your trailer if you want to work next to it but, if you want to work out of the back of the trailer that is also fine.

Atco has moved up their start time of Saturdays program by an hour. Gates will open around 6 / 6:30am with Juniors, Junior Street & HS Challenge starting at 8am. This should allow them to get about 2 Qualifiers in before the .90 / Stock-SS Cars hit the track around 9 - 9:30am. So the same time is projected but, the gates will be open a little sooner to get in and parked and registered with me and we should be able to get done a little quicker so you can bounce over and run the bracket race later on if you'd like.
