Red face Live from Lebanon Valley - NHRA Lucas Oil Series

Good morning members and guests - yesterday we had an all day test n tune that went for the most part very well .Air ?? Well to say it was slow is an understatement as at one point the DA was up over 3600 ' - something most of us in D1 are not used to .Good news is most of the day the track was hooking well .

Today? If you're on the fence and thinking about showing up tomorrow and getting a time shot and heading into elims forget it .Big change in the schedule - three ( count 'em ) 3 shots at the track today for everyone and tomorrow morning head right into round one starting with Stock .So you ask why?? Weather looks to turn bad later today ( as in boom boom and more water for the crops ) and Saturday looks dismal so the powers to be are moving things along faster .

More later ..............

Lightbulb Re: Live from Lebanon Valley - NHRA Lucas Oil Series

So Stock and S/S got their first crack at the track and all I can tell you is that Ralph Porpora is # 1 in Stock @ .991 under .Would love to post the sheet but the pics I have taken so far are coming out not very clear for some unknown reason - working on it but really what I need is a camera guru - it's a Nikon Coolpix B500 and I'm lost . More later ..... I hope !!!!!

Cool Re: Live from Lebanon Valley - NHRA Lucas Oil Series

Yes we are done until 8am tomorrow when the juniors will come out followed by all those who didn't get their second Q run in .Then we will go into eliminations - my guess is Stock will go out around noon . As of this moment the Sun is back out and the track is quickly drying .Bad news is we can only race till around 5pm when the Roundy round track next door starts .

Question Re: Live from Lebanon Valley - NHRA Lucas Oil Series

Morning kids - As promised the weatherman got it right - about an hour ago it started coming down in buckets - cats n dogs and just plain downpour - and very, very hard with a few boom booms thrown in for good measure. As
Reinhart said yesterday it takes at least three and a half hours to dry the track here so I'm positive the 8 o'clock start is off the table.

I'm pretty sure that if a racer was on their way this morning, they would be put on the bottom of the sheet but would not get a Q or time run - assuming they entered earlier.

Tim - no problem - as I told you i've done about a zillion of 'em.Glad it worked out.

Most of you probable heard of the tragic accident at LV today that claimed the life of a top sportsman racer. Racing has been stopped for today and eliminations will continue tomorrow.
